CODING ERROR
BARREL AGED IMPERIAL STOUT WITH CACAO & HAZELNUT - 11.5%

Brewed originally as a collaboration with our friends at Dois Corvos, this rich and thick Imperial stout has a long list of malts to help make up a complex flavour profile filled with sweet, chocolate and caramel notes. The batch was split with some released fresh and the rest aged for nearly 10 months in newly emptied barrels from Thy whisky. The barrels were a mix of PX sherry and bourbon adding more complexity to the beer, in particular the sherry giving a hint of dark fruits with an almost liquorice undertone on top of some hints of vanilla from the bourbon. 

After emptying from the barrels, the beer was further conditioned for two weeks on cacao nibs and roasted hazelnuts further adding to the chocolate/nutella vibes. Expect a dense, decadent, dessert like experience from this beer. 

Malts: Pale ale, Dark Crystal, Cafe Malt, Special B, Carafa Special II, Roasted Barley, Chocolate, Rolled Oat, Golden Naked Oat, Munich, Dextrin
